How do I receover unsaved word document on word 2007

Hi

I have accidently press x on my word document and paniced and pressed dont save. I use vista and the microsoft office 2007. My computer is not switched off yet. Is there any way I can retreive the file?

I tried to go into C:\ Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft but at first I think it did appear 2 docuiments and i tried to open them both but it failed to open. I then tried to do back to see if it I can try it again but it when I looked back it wasnt there anymore.

I don't know, how you tried to open .tmp files, but it appears to be too late to discuss it, since the files are gone.
Did you check C:\ Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Word, if Word auto saved your document?
