disk drive posted missing

hi, im new on this site.

dont know if this should be posted on this forum but lets see if you can help-

ive just went into 'my computer' and i cant see my disk drive.

its not in the recycle bin either- where can it be?

please help!!

Hi,

If you goto Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management and scroll down ....is the drive listed there?

nah i cant see it- could have a wire have fallen out??

it it possible to uninstall it?

could this be cause by a virus??

Well, if that's your only hard drive and it wasn't working period then you system wouldn't boot. The fact that you can get into windows and it doesn't show up there is a little disturbing. First thing you might want to do if you can is to scan for viruses and spyware or other malware.....

Well does your hard drive show up in my computer ( C: )? Or is it your A: that is missing?

is there an icon in your "My Computer" that says A: and C:?

List all the lettered Icons in your "My Computer" that way I know the drive your talkingabout that has gone missing.
