My daughter has a Dell monitor which cannot be adjusted to show pixels greater than 640 x 480 and only 2 color or 16 color. The monitor still works but cannot be adjusted the Control Panel or any other way we've tried so far. The device manager states both the video card and the monitor are preforming correctly. We have tried to update both drivers and it comes back with the message that we have the most current drivers installed. Any thoughts about what we can do to get this working properly? Anything will help. We have done everything we know to do at this point. Thanks.

Is this monitor on a Dell computer? If so, which Dell computer. Windows drivers are junk. Get the driver for the video card, for that particular computer from Dell and install it. Don't go update otherwise you'll get the same message. And the reason you get that message is because you're using the XP driver.
