Howdy Rookie2788,

Let me just look your logs over for a bit and I'll post back after that.

Tough infection showing here. Let's try a tough tool as well. Please do the following.

Open HijackThis, and choose None of the above, just start the program. Click Config – Misc Tools – Open process manager. From the list, click each of the following if it is present, and Kill Process. Close HijackThis. If you receive errors doing this just move to the next step.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\csts.exe
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\dior4f46182516.exe

Please download SDFix from here and save it to your desktop.

When you have done this, please boot into Safe Mode (see here for more help if you need it).

Rightclick on the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All. Open the extracted folder and doubleclick on RunThis.bat to start the script.

Type Y to begin the script. It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot. When you hit any key, your computer will reboot. Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.

When your desktop loads, the utility will complete the removal and display Finished. Press any key again to end the script and load your desktop icons. Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of Report.txt back in this thread with a new HijackThis log.

Also go Here and download Silent Runners to your desktop. Run it, and post back here the log it creates. If your AV queries the script, allow it to run. It's not malicious. It will create a file named Startup Programs, and will notify when the scan is complete. Copy the log from the Startup Programs file back here. You can use separate posts here if needed.

That scan removed a difficult one. Let's repair more.

Go to Start > Run and type

cmd

and OK. Type the below commands and hit "Enter" after each line

sc stop RPCDB
sc delete RPCDB

Type Exit to close.

Then click here to download AIMFix.exe (by Jay Loden) and click the downloaded file and follow the propmts. When it completes it will create an AIMFix.log. Save this to post back here.

Then Download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite from here and install it.

After installation, double-click the icon on your Desktop to launch Ewido.

On the top of the main screen click Shield. Then click the word active to change it to inactive.

You will need to also update Ewido to the latest definition files. On the top of the main screen click Update. Then click on Start Update. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed. If you have problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Ewido.

Now close Ewido (don't scan just yet).

Go Here and download ATF cleaner. Click on the downloaded file to run it, and select "Select All", then click Empty Selected (and close ATF).

If you have them, also click on Firefox/Opera at the top and repeat the steps (and close ATF). Firefox/Opera will need to be closed first for the cleaning to be effective.

================================================== ===

Reboot into Safe Mode (at startup tap the F8 key and select Safe Mode).

Make sure all windows are closed and run Ewido. Click Scanner, then click on the Scan tab. Click Complete System Scan to begin scanning. When the scan is complete click Recommended Action and change it to Quarantine. Then click Apply all actions.

Once the scan has finished, click the Save report button, then click Save Report As. This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again.

Then reboot back to Normal Mode. Post back here the Ewido log, the AIMFix log anf a new HijackThis please.

Not just yet. The earlier infection in some manner has resurfaced itself there. Some steps will need a repeat.

Please follow the steps I posted in Post #4 here (Post number in uppper right hand corner of each post) to run the SDFix again, exactly as you did before.

Then Disable your antivirus program and go here and run an online scan with BitDefender (you will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan). When the ActiveX Control has loaded, click on "Click here to scan" and grab a coffee.

When BitDefender completes the scan, select the "Detected Problems" tab. Click on "Click here to export scan". Save the file as an HTML to your Desktop. Then click on the saved file and allow it to open with your browser. Go to Edit - Select All. Then copy/paste that log back here, along with the Report.txt and a new HijackThis.
