debian dvd says 4.4 g

just downloaded debian dvd edition from their website and theres something wrong i think.
first , if i burn dvd 1 through nero its only bout 385mb
if i open dvd 1 with ultraiso its 4.4g but if i burn with ultraiso its about 385 mb?
any help appreciated guys

Which image file did you download?
Do you know what a checksum is?
The checksums are listed here

this is where i downloaded fom

i dont know how to use checksum as i never used it, when i click on the link you prvided i get internet explorer error

just downloading the cd version, now each cd says (roughly) 650mb so surely the dvd 1 must be at least 4 gb. il post back any issues i come across

You can get winMd5Sum Portable here
there is also an explanation on the page. The sums needed are listed in the MD5SUMS directory on the page that you downloaded from.

well i burnt the 21 cds and installed my spare pc. it only used the first cd? gonna check out whats on the other cds latyer.
