Safe Mode /Advance Setting Win 8/8.1 at Start up
To give Access to ADVANCE START UP /SAFE MODE WINDOWS 8 and 8.1
at Start up, [JUST AFTER BOOT] IN CASE OF DRIVER OR UPDATE PROBLEMS F8 to Safemode WILL NOT WORK JUST AFTER BOOT UP with some pc/laptops with WIN 8/8.1 start ups , ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALL THIS ON ALL INSTALLS /UPGRADES TO WIN 8/8.1 ON ALL PCs/LAPTOPS AS SOON AS NEW WIN 8 /8.1 O.S LOADED, you can remove it when you want to later, when sure the pc laptop o.s. stable [usefull with older pc and hardwear updateing probs ] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To Access Cmd prompt in win 8 Leave Desktop Return to START screen, start Apps screen find Cmd screen and pin to start,/DESKTOP Restart Desktop CMD app now in taskbar at bottom left click Cmd screen on taskbar and run as Admin , ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TO BE DONE FROM ADMIN CMD PROMPT SCREEN ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To/will Set, Access to Advance / Safe mode setting etc after boot/ start up --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- type at cmd prompt [or cut and paste in to command screen ] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu yes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Restart, Will go in to Advance Start up, you can start safe mode ect after boot up for 10/15 seconds, if you set no mode [number] will carry on boot in to normal mode, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove, FOR NORMAL START UP at later date, and return back to normal win 8 /8.1 start up mode --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- type at cmd prompt [or cut and paste in to command screen ] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu no --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- reboot/restart, Win 8/8.1 in normal mode , no prompts -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- this can save a lot of problems of BAD start up if you get incompatabliy probs as you update drivers/apps in new WIN/8/8.1 , with some pc/laptops and they do happen , |
