Exclamation Help, With battlefield 2

Hope you can help me with this guys.
The game installs fine but when I go to start the game the game splash logo comes up and then flashes black and returns me to my desktop!!
Please help me because I really enjoy playing this game.
All my other games work good it only happens on this one.
All my drivers are up to-date and I’ve reinstalled them numerous times.
Please help me!!

P.S soz if this is in the wrong part, please move it if it is thanks for all help adam!!

hello some more information whould be handy like CPU speed, how much memory and what type of video card.

Update!!

The cpu is Intel Pentium 4 3.0 ghz
The video card is a Radeon 9550

I have 1024 Mb DDR
I have 1 gb of ram
I'm using windows xp home with sp 2
I just wanna this game again.

The video card you have is on the lower limits off being able to play this game, but it should play on low er settings.
Has it worked before with the Radeon 9550 card?

Yeah it worked great with this card it only started to happen a few weeks ago. lol.
But like i said i couldnt flaut it with this card it work 120% and worked with all the videos and gameplay like a peice of cake lol.

Since it worked before try delete this file, it will reset your video settings to default.

delete this file: C:/My Documents/Battlefield2/Profiles/0001/Video.con

Post back how that went

I havent made any real changes to my computer i've just download some things and install them, and by this i mean programs.
But this would'nt do anything to the game would it???

A full uninstall and reinstall might fix it up, this is what I would do.
1)Do a manuall uninstall as per this page and follow every step.

2)Get the latest patch ready.530mb so it may take some time.

3)reinstall BF2 and apply the latest patch

Thanks i will try it this way.
I have uninstalled it before through the ad and remove programs but ill try this way, and by the way it didn't work after that.

Oh and by the way if i re-formart my windows it works then so it much be something i'm doing?? or is it just the computer???
