Let's move this request the the CTH Web Development forum where it belongs, and perhaps the Moderators there can decide if there really is the added need to post that for-profit site's active link in the example.

If you want to just register a domain name I've heard www.namecheap.com are competitive.

you have to activate your hosting account, i believe free hosting comes with the regestration, but it has an banner at the top of the site, once you have activated your hosting acount, you go to hosting & sevices then click , my hosting account. Then click open on your hosting acount control panel. Now click content, then ftp client, now upload your html files to the account via ftp client, rename you home page welcome.html.

thes directions should get you homepage published, and i think you could figure it from there, if i missed anything someone feel free to add

no the domain is yours for how ever long you purchased it for, activating hosting allows you to bring the domain to life with a website. It allows you to upload html files and images. This is necessary to start the website

I was chating at N3Xtech and they say themselfs that GoDaddy is very reputable and he also he gives promo codes and GoDaddy I think is their sponsor.

Unless he only gave a promo code because I said I would feature his show.

if you do a search for web design software at download.com you may find something that will help you with your pages. Also do a search for photo albums and you will find utilities that will help you create album pages and upload it to your site.

Remember, you only get so much space with your godaddy account. I would like to suggest purchasing a hosting account. Most good hosting accounts have photo albums, forums, blogs and other features that comes with it.

I wish Geocities would have that across banner that they use to have, although I think a different company owned Geocities before that silly side banner happened.

Geocities is probably the best free service, I've seen. No one seems to use the OverLay option.

A few years ago Yahoo! found a way to block the code that can block those side banners, by having some type of method similar to re-direct.
