using 4 ide channels on Gigabyte mobo

Anyone help?

Is it possible to use the extra 2 IDE channels on the Gigabyte 7N400 Pro 2, normally use for RAID arrays, just as extra IDE channels?
I don't want to use them for a RAID array, but would like to have extra drives attached.

Hi smokie77,
Sure, you can use the two IDE channels for four drives, not just for a RAID setup. For example, you could have 2 x HDD on the one channel and 2x Optical Drives (DVD-ROM and DVD-RW) on the other.

Sounds and looks like an ok 'board to me.
