CD-ROM Driver
Friends computer (Sharp Laptop, External CD-ROM via PCMCIA card, External Floppy)
He was upgrading from 98 to 98SE and screwed up. He asked me to format and install 98SE for him. Formatted hard drive to reinstall 98SE. At a: I always type "setup" and the CD-ROM takes over and installs operating system. Keep getting a: Mentions at one point that driver for CD-ROM not found. Thought there was generic driver in system files that takes care of CD-ROM????? Downloaded driver from Sharp onto floppy. Can't seem to install it. Either doing it wrong or can't be done with floppy. Don't no of any other simple way to do. Do you? |
