Good to know. But I already knew they were too frigg'n high anywhere.
$2.11 - $2.29 Reg. Just filled with $2.14 yesterday.
Shouldn't complain as prices far exceed that in other areas and especially other countries.
Check LA or Beverly Hills.....sheesh.
Thanks.

P.S. Don't flame me as I know the U.S. has most of the lowest prices in the world. But I can still bit**.

I use things like Kroger cards for shopping and Speedway Plus cards for gas station purchases. I can get up to $0.20 off a gallon with the Kroger card and up to $0.50 off a gallon with the Speedway Plus card.

If I go without one of these cards, gas around here is usually $2.29-2.45 per gallon.

Interesting but not surprising:
The price of gas varies around the world, due to the vagaries of exchange rates but mostly because of taxes and subsidies. Assuming your car gets 35 miles per gallon,(don't I wish) here is how far $20 of gas will take you in various countries around the world:
Germany: 127 miles
Japan: 147 miles
United States: 342 miles
China: 385 miles
Saudi Arabia: 771 miles
Venezuela: 4,624 miles Fill up 2-3 times a year? I could go for that but I ain't mov'n.

P.S. UK drivers pay equivalent of $6.10 per gallon, but I don't have to tell my friends across the pond this, do I?

Ok, where did I go wrong?
Venezuela: 4,624 miles or fill up (or put 20 bucks in) 2-3 times a year if I drive about 12-15K miles/year?
Hey, I'm right about half the time, wrong half the time, and 25% of the time I don't know. Told you I'm not good at fractions.
Venezuela pays $.12/gal I can't help it if I copy/paste bad info.
Here's more prices:

I think you're forgetting that most cars (at least around here) can't hold 150 gallons of fuel at one time. You will need to fill up much more than 3 times to go 15,000 miles, but you got the price about right, and that's what counts!

BTW, I'm moving to Venezuela (I wish...).

Yeah, only 20 gal tank here.
Check this out. I'm using $.12/gal.....right?
$20 divided by .12 = 166.6gals
35/mpg X 166.6gal = 5,833 miles X 3 = over 15,000 miles.
I think I should have said I only have to use 3 $20 bills for the year.
That make more sense?
Now really I only get 24/mpg so $60 would get me 11,995.2 miles.
I drive a Mercury Grand Marquis with police interceptor package and lead foot.
Used radar detectors for 30 years. Had 2 tickets when instant-on radar came
but new detectors and better sensitivity. Don't be the only one on the road doing 100mph or you'll get zapped. Has to rebound off someone else first.
This is really about my average driving for the year.
I smell gas
I still ain't going.

"Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining."

dammit, as soon as the Atlantic bridge is finished you are welcome to drive over and get some of this cheaper gas.

Me, I'm renting a tanker, driving to Venezuela, and buy a few thousand gallons of gas, bring it back and sell it out of my backyard much cheaper but still make a load of moolah. Of course it will cost me much more on the drive down than back up. I'll try to post my results if the prison has computer time.

Now I have to find out just how to get to Venezuela. I may not be able to get there from here.

1 liter = 0.264172051 US gallons
You are paying $4.35/gal
