can't set power options.
when i right click on the desktop and go to screensaver/power i find all the options are greyed out. how can i reset them. my screen stays on forever. thanks, boyd.

Hello Boyd!
![]() Does this occur with all your screensavers? If your not sure, set one of Microsoft' default screensaver and see if you get the power option. Also, did you recently install a new screensaver? If so, uninstall it and see if that helps. Good Luck and please post back and let us know if this helped. |

i appreciate your taking the time to answer me. i tried changing to one of the default screensavers and i still get everything greyed out in the power window. thanks, anyway, boyd.

You have a corrupted registry entry:
START | RUN type in Regedit hit OK Hitting the + signs navigate to this key HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pol icies\ActiveDesktop In the right pane ScreenSaveActive is the value (1)???? |

murf, i did as you said, but when i got to "policies" there was no option under it for active desktop. did you leave something out? thanks for helping me, boyd.

ooooops, sorry how about this:
HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop REG_DWORD vaqlue defaut is 1 If yours is 0 change to 1 |
