Computer Freezes randomly at startup and in sleep mode

I am having this stupid situation with my computer, it keeps freezing every time I start up, or sometimes when it is in suspend mode. I am not getting errors and it is not over heating. I believe it is my power supply, but I do not know if a power supply could cause a computer to freeze. Heres the rundown of my computer

500w power supply
biostar mother board
intel pentium D 3.2 Ghz
other random stuff... let me know what you think
Other than that I will keep trying to start the computer up... every once and a while it will start, but i would like to solve this problem

Another note... When I start up my computer, the power comes on (the cd drives light up and the hard drives power up), but the power light does not come on and the monitor doesnt get any signal.... possibly part of the same problem??? let me know

Do you mean by that if it doesn't completely power off it will boot up ok at times?

I think you're on the right track. It seems you are missing one of the voltage outputs from your power supply at times or when it heats up just a bit. I would open the box and unplug & reseat all of my power connectors first..

The reason for my concern, is because on my "speed fan" program these are my voltage readings... tell me if these are even close

Vcore1: 1.34V - stays around that voltage
Vcore2: 1.94V - ranges from 1V to 3V
+3.3V: 3.26V - Stays around same voltage
+5V: 5.03V - Stays about the same
+12V: 10.3V - Always low
-12V: -8.66V - Always Low
-5V: 1.03V - usually low
+5V: 4.76V - always around this voltage
Vbat: 4.08V - usually around this same voltage

Im more concerned about hte +12V and the -12V... what could be the problem

Your power supply voltage regulator could be the problem.. It should hold your 12 V closer than what it's reading. I can only guess if the readings are accurate or not..If they are the 12 volts is to low..
