problems with update

i'm having problems with the auto update on my laptop.
auto update disabled, and i can't turn it on. i have tried to turn it on via the control panel, which don't work. i have tried to turn it on via start> run> services.msc, which don't work.
now i have seen that the updates folder in program files is empty, which i believe is the problem.

can anyone help me out. my laptop is running slow, i get pop ups on every page, an di have to keep running fixes on norton.

First clean up your system..

Download HiJackThis into it's own folder. Run it and you will get a log file. Copy & paste that log file here... http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/...splay.php?f=25

Get HiJack here... http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en...ols/hijackthis
