Exclamation "Network Cable Unplugged" "Network Bridge" XP Bubble

Hi everyone,

I've a problem. An XP bubble message intermittently appears telling me a network cable is unplugged, its title is "Network Bridge."

Why does it flash on and off?

I have a Wireless Network from Linksys.

Btw small 2nd question...i've got ICS working but my network simply REFUSES to use printer/file sharing and the like.

Thankyou in advance for any help you can offer.

Chris.

p.s i know it seems similar to some other posts but it's a different flavour of the problem and i can't for the life of me find a solution.

Hello, Chris1479.

Your WLAN could be suffering from interference...

Check the following thread, in order to have better insight about this hypothesis (including the link to a previous thread in it):

http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/...ad.php?t=32719

About the second question: are you sure your network configurations are OK? Specially subnetwork mask, IP addresses and workgroup name.

Did you have created users accounts? And then did you share the resources? Right after did you permit your users to use shared resources?

If usernames are different on client and server, you should use Windows Explorer to open any folder on the server (so that it will provide a prompt for username and password). You will be able to use server resources until your next logout.

Regards.
