How Can I Disable Certain Unnecessary Startup Processes?

First off, I am aware that to disable startup processes all I have to do is go into Msconfig and disable them that way, but...

I have certain processes listed in the Task Manager 'Processes' area that are not available to disable via Msconfig.

These are processes such as ati2evxx, wdfmgr & wrsssdk.

These are just resource laggers and I have to keep going into the processes tab and disabling them that way every time I start up my PC.

The only way of disabling them completely that I can think of is to delete them completely, but I don't want to just INCASE I need them some time.

Is there any way I can stop these certain processes from running every time the PC boots up via another way than Msconfig?

ati2evxx - Component for ATI video cards, it should stay unless it is causing problems

wdfmgr - For Windows Media Player 10 and above, this process decreases compatibility problems whilst the product is in use

wrsssdk - Belongs to Webroot's Spysweeper, should not be stopped, if it is the program will not function correctly

So leave the last one alone and the first is optional as is the second one

do an MSCONFIG but check if they are under "Services" instead of "startup"

Autoruns is a good program that will give you alot of info about your startups.

Combine it with Process Explorer.

Startup Control Panel

Startup Control Panel is a nifty control panel applet that allows you to easily configure which programs run when your computer starts. It's simple to use and, like all my programs, is very small and won't burden your system. A valuable tool for system administrators!

This is really good freeware for that. You can disable the device from starting and if you decide to delete it also removes entry from registry. Nice tool to have. Also, check out Startup Monitor. Both are good, simple, and useful tools.
