No Internet, but still connects to the Network.

Ok, I was wanting to download a streaming file today, so I downloaded Cocsoft Stream Download. It said it needed to reboot to fully install, but I ignored that and used it anyway. It didn't work right, so I uninstalled it and downloaded Hi Download. I used it to download the streaming file. I got some weird error messages saying something like "Can not draw to canvas" or something. Didn't seem to stop the download, so I just hit enter.

After the file finished downloading, I immediately tried to play it. It gave me some error message about Windows Media Player (sorry, can't remember), and my system was crashing. I had to turn the power off and on.

Anyway, when I get back to windows, I tried playing the file and it worked. I even played it on my Xbox over the network, so the network connection works. But whenever I try to get online with either FireFox or IE, I got an error immediately (DNS error in IE).

I'm on DSL using a wireless router. This computer connects to the Internet fine. I've tried restarting both the router and the modem, but that doesn't help. Restarting the computer doesn't help. I can still access the computer via the network, and it can acess other stuff on the network, but I can't use the Internet.

The computer is running Win98 SE.

Reinstalling and uninstalling Cocsoft worked. Sorry for wasting your time.

Wait, reinstalling got it to work again, so I just assumed uninstalling wouldn't do anything. It seems I can't uninstall this program without it causing the same problem. Any suggestions?

I'd just like to take this opportunity to point out that I have no connection, business or personal, with Someone7.
