Exclamation HELP: un-partition a hard drive disk

Help!!!! I installed Windows XP on top of Windows ME without uninstalling Windows ME first. I now have a partitioned hard drive and don't want one. I don't know how to uninstall either system. I have tried going to the add/remove programs option to uninstall windows, but its not there! Will someone PLEASE help me restore my computer to one operating system!?!

Welcome

Are you saying that you have
C: = WindowsME
D: = WindowsXP

Are you willing to re-partition and format the drive which will loose all data?

You could use FDISK, but I wouldn't.

Goto the Harddrive Manufacturers site and download their disktools.
They should help you partition, format and install your OS.

After the Partition & Format you should be able to boot from the ME CD to start setup.

Yes, That is what I would do.

The Manufacturers disk tools are usually easier to work with that DOS/FDISK, although if you want to then CTH has tutorials available

Yep, you delete the current partiton.
Then you create a new Primary Partition.

Then you Format it.

Then you can install.

If you are worried then you may want to follow the Tutorials from the link.
There are tutorials for
Delete a Partition (FDISK)
Create a Partition (FDISK)
Format a drive (DOS)
Install an Operating System
