Clipboard piping in Bash possible?

Can you pipe to/from the clipboard in Bash?

I haven't found a way, whether it's through piping to/from a device handle or using an auxiliary application.

For instance, if /dev/clip were a device linked to the clipboard, we could use:

cat /dev/clip # Dump the contents of the clipboard
cat foo > /dev/clip # Dump the contents of "foo" into the clipboard

Not to many Windows users will know much about Bash, as opposed to the Linux users who will be very familiar if they are command line users. But in the later versions of Windows 10 it is possible to enable Bash Command line actions.

I've not found a method to directly dump to the clipboard however a possible work around would be to write to a .txt file and then in windows copy the contents of the .txt file to the clipboard.
