Monitor problems

I have a KDS LCD monitor. It has been working fine for the past few years.
This morning it went blank. When I turn it off than on I can see a flash of my desk top then it's out. Other monitors work on the computer so it's not a card.
My question is, "Is it worth fixing"? "Could it be something simple to repair or replace?" or do I have to buy another one?
Any monitor experts out there?

Thanks for your help

It's rarely something simple (i.e. cheap) to fix a monitor. Particularly as you've tried others on your machine and they are ok. Worth trying yours on another pc though.
Take it to a keen "mom n pop" type computer shop and get them to have a look. Can't ever remember seeing one get fixed cheaply in 20 years of using them, especially now they are cheap as chips.

I have tried it in other computers. Not working.
I know your right, it's not worth it, labor alone will kill me. I'll just have to bite to bullet and get a new fancy one with all the bells and whistles.
Thanks

Altrenative check - does your monitor work on other PC's

Odd that it should work ok until windows loads, ie it shows your desktop. I'd guess it was a driver problem myself.

Try uninstalling and re-install of your graphics drivers.
