Unhappy HijackThis Log(system running slow & freezing)trojans?
Hi,
I have Windows 98SE and I have been using the anti-virus protection that came free with my SBC Yahoo DSL subscription. I don't think it's working cuz my computer has been running slower and freezing quite a bit. I am using the SBC Yahoo Anti-Spy to clean up adware and cookies but the anti-virus isn't catching anything else & since the performance of my computer has gone downhill, I don't see how there can't be something else lurking on it. I ran HijackThis! and this is what it came up with...of course I have no idea what I should remove and what I shouldn't. Help please!

Your log looks fine now Tracy.

I see that you have installed the KB891711 Windows Update. If the freezing etc started about the time you installed this update, uninstall it, reboot and go back to Windows Update and reinstall it.

The original release of this security update caused problems for Win98, 98SE and ME users and Microsoft issued a revised update in April.
