COmputer keeps getting stuck
I have a HP Pavilion A450N and when I get on the Internet it stops and I have to do a stop/control/ALT/delete and hit cancel and it lets me resume. It not only stops while in the Internet but even when accessing WORD it does the dame thing. I have reinstalled Win XP and it still locks up on me. ANy suggestions on what else I can do?
Thanks, Thomas |

Check the application and system event logs for errors and/or warnings, there's a good chance that there will be a warning or error generated when the system hangs like that. that should give you a place to start looking for a solution. If there are errors post them here and we'll see if we can help with a solution.

Under admin tools in the control panel. its called event viewer. open that then double click one of the three logs in the left pane. The logs contents will be displayed in the right panel.

The event viewer shows under the application tab, that there is a hangup problem. How do I fix it?
