Runtime C++ errors
I turned on a seperate computer with XP a couple minutes ago, and I got Windows Defender telling me that some programs had been changed by an unknown application. It asked me to deny or allow access, so I denied them all, since it was made by an unknown application (probably a virus), and now I can't go into Internet Explorer, My Computer, or even System Restore, becuase I get Visual C++ Runtime errors saying that the programs have terminated in abnormal ways. Can anyone help with this issue? Please and thanks.

Can you boot into safe mode? If you can try to run your scans from there.

Okay, updated status: The computer turns on, and I can access the previously restricted places. I ran a McAffee scan, and it found 16 infected files; all of which were McAffee files >.> I deleted as many as I could (10), and there are 6 left. I'm going to wipe out McAffee, and install a new anti-virus. I doubt that will get rid of the virus, but it'd get rid of any infected files and protect files from future damage. Any painless tips on how to terminate the virus called 'New Win32'?
