p-mack, please have some patience. You are being helped but some of us live in different timezones so get some perspective. Your problem is not a life or death situation.

i think that my post may have gotten overlooked.
i originally posted yesterday around 6:30 pm, and at 8pm, the CTH memeber uripyores replied advising me to update my HJT, so i did, and 10 min later posted a new HJT log, but no one has replied to that one since. the link to my post is:
http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/...ad.php?t=84084
if someone is already working on this, and just hasnt replied quite yet, please forgive me for making this pointless post. also, thank you in advance to any help i get.

Hi guys! Don't mean to rush anyone, I'm just a tad nervous as its been a couple days and my problem has escalted to loss of even more functionality of windows programs as well. Now I can't even shutdown! For those responding to my post:
http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/...52&postcount=1
I have now uninstalled Norton and tried the next step of a system restore to a couple months ago. Some functionality returned, but so did some Norton pieces that obiviously don't work do to the last uninstall. Thanks again guys!
