He'll slip through this one also, too many people there avoiding cognitive dissonance to allow any conviction to occur.

I desperately hope you are wrong and the prick goes down for a long time, although having the judge in his back pocket has to be helpful to him..

It saddens me to hear these sort of comments here and also the rhetoric from the man himself, on the NEWS. Whatever happened to respect for the law and due process?
I would have thought that they would be paramount in the worlds leading democracy, which sees itself as the worlds policeman, whose laws apply throughout the world.

Seems to be some sort of hole in those laws when I hear a statement in the media here saying, that a conviction would not stop him running again???

In this country, a criminal conviction excludes election to parliament, and plenty of other things as well, eg Government employment, teaching, nursing and bus driving, to name a few.

Article in the Guardian.

To save their own skins, Trump and Johnson are destroying something precious: our faith in the law.

A relevant read, https://www.theguardian.com/commenti...vio-berlusconi

The suspicion has arguably always been there. They're just confirming it.

Perhaps the enemy is not China, Russia or Islamic state, but is from within? History should be given more prominence in the education system, especially the part about the fall of past world regimes, and the internal erosion that caused their downfall.

I think you all are talking about Brandon. Brandon has done more harm to this country than all combined. Trump was a great president. How many of your countries have open borders right now?

Sadly I cannot agree with that statement even in a small way most of his presidential statements were total plaque. Forest fires,Covid, foreign policy & etc & etc
Four indictments that he is ducking and dodging seem to sum up this crooked man............
