maybe we have to add zombies to the glossary?

compromised machines that can infect and expose networks, and are possibly used for malicious purposes..

As z1p mentioned, it is an addendum to a sticky - I realised what it's intention was, regardless of last post date.

Has the sticky expired? Errr no, it's still valid- ergo so are comments on it.

*EDIT* Just read one of your posts, Oracle128, and you are incorrect in you assumption. I actually looked at the post immediately before mine - Feb 2007 -and did actually see that it was a long(ish) line thread. Glad you care enough about my posts to pass comment.

As Oscar Wilde once said, in one of his delicious little put downs,
"Ridicule is the tribute paid to the genius by the mediocrities."

I'll take your word for it, but that's certainly not how it looks from here is all I'm saying. I mean come on:
October 6 2006: "Here is a glossary"
October 7 2007: "Great idea z1p"

The coincidence is uncanny. But either way, it's still a zombie thread. Definition: a thread that hasn't had any posts for a long time, but suddenly gets revived with another post out of nowhere. Regardless of the post's intent.

Don't know what "ridicule" has to do with this though. Do you have an Oscar Wilde quote regarding 'irrelevance'?

You may want to add repeater to the glossary terms. Repeaters are a way to extend the range of a wireless network.

RIP, (Routing Information Protocol)
EIGRP, (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol)
