They both installed fine ran nicely and looked real good, but I kept finding software that wouldn't install.
So, for a while (1 or 2 yrs I think) I am going to leave it alone and stay with 32 bit.

Seems a sensible plan

minitube goes great with 4gigs of ram you can watch and download easy at once lf you fell to sleep it would chew up a bit of data as it plays the next on the search results list

downloads end up in the video folder

And I use my dwelper file so I can edit a lot of videos to the trash if I prefer a different version of whatever takes my fancy

My personal opinion is that you need modernish hardware to run Minitube eg DDR2 or better
As I said before I have 2 computers that run Minitube.
Plus I put Mint12 on my sisters laptop and put Minitube on that too it goes great

I am trying it again in Xubuntu 11.10 64bit.
I am using the Ubuntu library release rather than this months latest one.
So far it all works very good.

I have now got an AMD 4000+ I put 10.04 32 bit and installed minitube I have since updated that system 10,10 and to 11.04 and minitube doesnt work.
So I dual-booted with 11.10 64bit and minitube worked oh I did put gstreamer plugin in too
So it works with 11.10 ubuntu and mint12.
I have to forget running minitube on my VIA as it wont do 11.10 oh dear how sad never mind

I rang my sister last night to ask her how she was getting on with her first Linux computer eg her laptop that I put Mint12 on for her and installed Minitube.
I asked her if she uses Minitube she said [all the time ]
She has not much experience with Windows and she kept moaning about You Tube in Windows

So Im going to contradict myself
A mate returned a Compaq Evo d530 with a gig of RAM and 128mb GForce
XP had crashed and the BIOS was corrupt
Another mate works in IT and was given 10 PCs and we found a Evo D530 amongst them it only had a 1.8 celeron so I replace it with a P4 2.4 with 533FSB
Put a 256mb ATI Graphics and one stick of RAM decide it didnt like the ATI so only got 512mb RAM.
i had a HD out of my 666mhz VIA that wasnt up to playing video so I put it in the Evo an Upgraded Lubuntu 11.04 to 11.10 and installed a Software Center with Synaptic and then installed Mini Tube.
Runs great with 512mb DDR400 256 ATI

So my Lubuntu install with Minitube became lame after I uninstalled Chrome.
Anyway the Evo now has Xubuntu 11.10 dual booted with Mint 12 with Minitube on both boots.
ATM Evo specs Socket 478 2.4 533FSB CPU with a GIG of RAM and a IDE HD 7200rpm
