Here's what Cardinal Dolan had to say after the Al Smith dinner. It doesn't fit the popular narrative so it took me quite a while to find it (The Hollywood Reporter)

"After the little prayer, Mr. Trump turned to Secretary Clinton and said, 'You are one tough and talented woman,' " said Dolan.

Clinton was quick to return the sentiment, Dolan said, stating, "Donald, whatever happens, we need to work together afterward."

Clinton and Trump have been in the political world long enough to know how to fight in public and get along in private but...working together? Anything's possible. I guess.

As couples they have associated in the past, but this is an ego clash. Clinton wins, we put up with 4 years of bureaucratic dishonest BS.

Trump wins? Well, I just happen to own a S&W 500 Magnum .50 cal.

Bought it for self-protection, of course. Only found out after I bought it it's the largest handgun on the planet. Makes Dirty Harry look like he was carrying a BB pistol. And also by accident I mistakenly bought 700 grain dinosaur killer bullets. Just not very good at shopping.

If Trump wins, just gonna hole up and see if chaos ensues (or I get attacked by dinosaurs).

What really surprises me, and likely shouldn't, is that how threatened I feel about the chance of Thump becoming president of the US, and yet so many of millions of other US citizens see the complete opposite. My older brother, who has a phd in chemistry, is a big wig in a major company and has his own fairly big business, is voting for Chump. Why? He is a Repub, and hates Clinton.

58,000 US soldiers died in Vietnam. Probably 40,000 of them weren't rich enough or educated enough to scam the draft like Lump did. All got Purple Hearts, and not just handed to them on some stage, with a statement, "Oh, this is an easier way of getting one". Shooting down McCain, an American hero? I did time during Vietnam. Not in, but during. Remember the daily KIA count.

And have to stop on that note, because Dump now has Secret Service protection, and they might misinterpret my next comments.

That can and does work both ways. Would you have said the same, had it been the other way around?

Don't forget that many voters will also choose their vote, from whatever the media is that they watch/read, Doesn't matter if it's true, just needs to suit their prejudices.

Just bought that gun for the, uh, enhancements owning one would bring. But no, uh, enhancements, if no one knows you have it. So stretched things a little to post it here. No, of course not even thinking about any harm to a US pres candidate. Only self protection against herds of angry water buffaloes or elephants, which are known to ravage the US east coast.

Just some American saying about what one would do if a person was on fire.

Luf, you're right. Just different walks of life, and different opinions. So many will vote for this:

And others will vote differently:

I kinda want to see Trump win.. (not voting for him though). I'm curious as to what would happen.. the same way one may be curious what a Zombie Apocalypse would really be like... you don't necessarily want it to happen, but it would be greatly entertaining and interesting.

At this point... I kind of feel apathetic overall.. doesn't matter... none of them are going to make things better for my life. Obama proved that. (part of the 10% that gets royally screwed by the Affordable Care act).

No worries Jaytee, Trump doesn't even know NZ is a country, nevertheless where it's at. First on his agenda is to meet with Putin, cause he heard Putin's got some new great idea called Skynet.
