Interesting Event
I own a windows 10 computer and an android mobile phone. I can access my Gmail account from either device.
I tried an experiment to see if I could install an app from the google store on my computer. After access the google store and signing in on my computer using my email address and password, I clicked install. I waited for something to happen, but nothing appeared on my computer. Some while later I took a look at my phone which had just been sitting there, untouched by me, and found the app that I had been trying to install on the computer, installed on my phone. I gave it a try and it is working perfectly. I find this strange and potently dangerous, any thoughts folks? |

what happened is normal. If you looked at the screen under the install button prior to downloading, it should tell if compatible with your android devices. Once you click on install, there should have been a popup asking you what device you want to install on. If you don't select one, it will pick one.
I really do not think it is a security issue since someone would have to have access to your google account info. |

Thank you Renegade, I still find it amazing that it is possible to install anything on another device remotely, without permission specifically being granted on the target device.

There is a significant difference, with updates the program is already installed on the device and usually it is possible to set a preference to: (a) Automatically Update (b) Ask before Updating or (c) Don't Update.
In this case the program was installed on different device. Quote:
