Seems silly to pay money for something that you are unhappy about. Perhaps it might be better to learn to use one of the free Linux distributions, that you cab install and configure to suit your needs. That said, you can just remove the icons of Edge and whatever else you don't like from the start menu and the desktop, install what you wish and set them to be the default applications.

I agree with Ned. Edge is not hurting anything just sitting. Download your preferred browser and set it as the default.

Besides it is always good to have a secondary browser on hand for troubleshooting. If, for example, your new default cannot access or render a page properly, you can call up Edge and see if it can. If it does, you know there is an issue with your default. If Edge cannot access the page too, then that site likely has issues.

Frankly, what is nice about Windows is it allows you to change the defaults.

Sorry but I know of no such app.

It can be uninstalled through Settings > Apps > Apps and Features. But that does not completely "remove". That is a long, drawn out process, and even then some anchor bits will remain behind.

bot96,

Here's something a tech nerd friend sent me....

O&O AppBuster: Bust Apps you do not want!
https://www.oo-software.com/en/ooappbuster

I'm still using Win 7.
So, I haven't tried it.
But it is free, so go head and give it a shot.

I am curious at to what it is you actually think you accomplished. Will your computer run better? Nope. Is it more secure? Nope. Is your privacy better protected? Nope. Will there be problems now or in the future with Windows Updates and other internal Windows functions that depend on Edge? Maybe.
