WD My Passport Ultra portable external problem

Hello all.
I need your help with WD Passport Ultra external drive USB showing up as a CD drive in This PC. I cant open it I got error saying:

"E:\ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error"

are you able to try it on another computer to see if it shows the same? anyway, check out the following and see if any of the fixes will help. If not, the only other possible option I can think of is to reformat the drive.

The "I/O device error" usually indicates some sort of communication problem between the drive and your computer. Check connections. Update drivers. In Disk Management, right-click on the drive and choose "Change drive letter and paths." Assign a new drive letter to see if that resolves the issue. If none of the above work and you have important data on the drive, consider using data recovery software.
