Vpn

Is it worthwhile to have a VPN? Can we have antivirus program of one company and VPN of another?

It could slow down your computer and could create false alerts. In the past, when I wanted a second opinion, I would run an online antivirus like housecall.

I have Bitdefender Internet Security. They have a VPN also but I read in a review that their VPN lacks some features. Is that correct? I am retired and browse the internet only for personal use. Of course, I use net banking and conduct digital transactions.

Might want to check with the bank first before using a vpn for online banking. Not all banks allow vpns to access accounts. Banks need to know your identity to avoid identity theft, money laundering and to create a risk profile. Even some legit streaming sites do not allow the use of vpns.
