HP Laptop 15-0023od Windows 11 Webcam
I hope this is the correct forum.
I have an HP Laptop 15-0023od with Windows 11 Home (OS Build 22631.3447) and the webcam is not working, My connected camera is HP TrueVision HD Camera. I tired the troubleshooting where the camera was reset and it still shows black. I went to device manager to see if there was an updated driver and I have the best driver installed. Went to privacy & Security/Camera and all apps are turned on. I am at a loss for what to do next. The only thing that has been installed not too long ago is a solid state drive. Since I don't use the webcam much I honestly do not know when it stopped. Any help would be appreciated. |

Update Webcam Driver:
1. Click on the Start button, type Device Manager in the search box, and press Enter. 2.Navigate to Cameras and click to expand the menu. 3.Right-click on the laptop camera or integrated webcam driver option from the drop-down, and tap on the Update driver option. 4. Choose the Search automatically to update the drivers option1. Check Privacy Settings: 1.Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera. Ensure that all apps are allowed to access your camera. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step. Reinstall Webcam Driver: Open the Device Manager on your laptop. Double-click on Imaging Devices, and you’ll see an expanded list of drivers available for your webcam. When you find a webcam driver on the list, right-click it and choose Update Driver Software. |
