Computer stopped working

While using my desktop PC a "no signal" message appeared on screen which then went blank. Since then my computer will not boot up. It only gives out a continuous stream of bleeps.
Any advice would be appreciated.

a few things to try. open the desktop case and make sure it is dust free. Also, if there is a graphic card, unplug it then plug back in. Do the same with the ram. What is the full model number of your computer and what operating system?
