Windows 2000 outdated browser

I am currently running Windows 2000 and have trouble viewing online videos and playing some games. I get a message to upgrade to an updated browser such as Googlechrome, etc. I have attempted to upgrade and continually get a message that my computer does not support those browsers. I have contacted companies like Omnitech Support. They say they can fix the problem, but when I go online I find many complaints and scam reports. Is there anything legitimately that can be done for free to make my browser more efficient?
