How to get my Google bar back

I used to have up until now a handy Google bar about 2" long somewhere on the screen,it was always there and very useful.Succumbing to the Google prompt to update to their latest wonderful thing ,which kept prompting me to download the same zip file everytime I wanted to use it,my little bar has dissappeared,I have also uninstalled the Google update,too much of a headache.How can I get this bar back

Thanks I've installed the Google deskbar from your link,it wasn't the one I had before which somehow had arrived on the screen and was always there.It could be moved around.
