WAN IP and Default Gateway changes
hello
my internet WAN IP and Default Gateway addresses have changed.... what would have caused this.... is it normal? my internet is through virgin media to the house and then goes around the house by belkin wireless..... the WAN IP and Default gateway have remained the same for two years... yet I,ve just noticed these have changed recently..... what would hav caused this.... is it normal? thanks for thoughts Inq |

Unless you pay for a static IP through your ISP it is subject to change at any time. The fact that gateway changed is suggests that your ISP made some changes on their end, they were probably nearing capacity or maybe they just made some upgrades, but at any rate, most likely your area has been split off to a new segment.
