Question .rar files have no icon
Hi, I have a problem with .rar files on my vista machine.
.rar files show up as a blank white icon, and it is hard to differentiate what kiind of file it is, and I sometimes cant tell if its a .zip or .rar.

Is there anyway I can restore or download the icon and set it for .rar, .zip files?

You can try reinstalling your .rar program. I am assuming that you use winRAR. That should fic your problem. Did you do a registry cleaning when this started happening?

I un-installed Winrar 3.71 and installed 3.80 to try and fix the problem,
I made sure that .rar files were associated with Winrar, and made sure that it was integrated into windows shell, but no luck so far.

I have not done a registry cleaning manually, but my Windows Live OneCare might have automatically done it while 'tuning up'.

Usually when I right click and go 'open with' a program it shows the icon of the program, but still the icon for .rar files is blank.
