***Help- configuring updates stage 3 of 3-0% froze on the screen!!!!!
I have a hp laptop. Just purchased three months ago, has worked just fine till today. I am froze on the windows vista/home premium blue screen, with the mouse in a contiuing circle. I am unable to move the cursor. Not sure what to do. I have tried powering off while it goes to a black "screen" and with no avail, nothing different.
It is randomly "blinking" in and out of the status, but with the blue background still there. Please help. I am not computer whiz, obviously, but I know that since I didn't download the os to discs, that doesn't help. |

I contacted Microsoft thru chat, and discovered after taking out the battery, the system started up, and went back to normal. I asked the rep what could've been the cause, and she stated that some sort of interruption of power caused the glitch. I also, asked her if my laptop overheating could also be the cause, and that is a possiblity. Hope this helps anyone else who may, unfortunately run into the same issue.
