Being in the states,I never heard of Aries, but the hardware looks
pretty good on this one....
Aries.
I would suggest getting the ATI X1800 upgrade and upgrading the power
supply.
The other parts can be upgraded in the future, when needed.
You may want to contact them to see what the refresh rate
on the monitor is.
You need something that is 8 milliseconds or less.

I would say the second one.
The 2 video cards in SLI mode will be better performers.
You can always upgrade to a dual core processor later,
when needed.
Don't skimp on the power supply.
It takes a lot of amps to run those cards.

If you have money to burn, then brand name gaming machines don't get much better than Alienware. The Dell XPS gaming PCs aren't far off either.

Is there a particular reason you chose not to build your own?

AMD used to be better, due to better floating point processing and memory control. But that was before Intel's Core2 Duo line. That's where it's at these days.

If your looking for a good site in the UK then PC specialist is where I bought my rig and they are excellent. The PC was top notch parts etc and delivery was prompt with no delays. You choose from a list of parts and basically build your own PC. Anyway here's a link to their site.
