Go to Report>Report Wizard>System Summary Only, Plain text. Copy and paste it to a post here (but don't include all the debug data).
Would have been much shorter if you'd followed instructions

What happens if you run the DirectX diagnostics display tests (Start>run>dxdiag)?
Again, what were the results of the tests on the Display TAB?

This might help - while I had the game in windowed mode on my taskbar, I carried on a conversation in Windows Messenger. I finished talking and went to maximize EverQuest, and the game maximizes to some really, really loud screeching noises and the I get blue screen o' death with error message, and it reads MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and has lots more white text for a few seconds, and then computer reboots.

Unhappy

Also, just now, I tried for the second time logging in, in a time period of about 10 minutes.

On the first attempt to log in, I crashed when my computer was loading the character select screen.

It crashed at the same spot when I tried logging in again.

After I reboot, however, no errors.

Does that help?

Angry

I just tried to run World of Warcraft. It ran perfectly the first time running. I played for about 10 minutes, surfed the internet for another ten, and then restarted World of Warcraft. Game proceeded to crash after pressing the "Play" button. Waitied a few minutes, started it again, logged into my charcter this time. Played for a couple minutes in the world, then exited game. Upon game exit, another error message. Whatever the problem is, it is not consistent. I think there might be something wrong with my 3D graphics - in screenshots, parts of my armor appear to be invisible, leaving a translucent spot in the picture where the armor is supposed to be. Any ideas what's wrong, based on this new occurence and past information?

So far...

I abandoned this five-page thread about over a month ago, and the problem still persists, so I am restarting with a new post and hopefully we can find a solution together! If not, I think I will hire some help in real life. Included in this post is a recap of the symptoms and steps taken to fix my machine, so you don't have to scour over the previous 5 pages.

The symptoms: I can't play 3D games without having numerous crashes per gaming session. The two games I play mostly are EverQuest and World of Warcraft. I can't even log into EverQuest any more - my computer will not let me get past the server select screen without crashing. With World of Warcraft, I can usually play the game crash-free for a while until it randomly crashes. World of Warcraft usually crashes about one to three times per gaming session, so it's a little bit better with this unknown error than EverQuest.
I am pretty sure it's a hardware issue, not a software issue. I will list below steps I have taken (to no avail) to fix my machine.
When crashing, I get numerous things, including: Blue screen of death, blue screen of death with horrible cracking/squeeling noises coming from speakers, and error messages (generated by both the game and Windows). Also, whenever it crashes to blue screen of death, the computer restarts with a popup message after I log into Windows, which reads: "System has recovered from a serious error." After clicking "OK", it opens Internet Explorer and a page reads "Error caused by device driver".

The specs:
Alienware CustomPC
AMD Athlon 64 Processor
3500+
2.25Ghz, 1.00 GB of Ram
Radeon 9600 series video card

Things I have done to fix my machine:
-Downloaded and updated all of my video card files
-Replaced video card (Radeon 9600 series)
-Re-installed to double check that I have the most current version of Direct X. I do.
-Downloaded all Catalyst service packs, as well as Windows Updates
-Re-installed both games. Crashing persists.

I am almost 100% sure that something is wrong with the 3D graphics for my computer...I don't know if this differs from the video card, but I can log onto the internet just fine without any crashing errors, and run other programs except games without any errors, such as iTunes and picture viewer, etc.

Thanks for looking into this...

Any ideas, anyone?
