When open program just flashes

I use Print Shop Pro 5 for all my pictures and print screen. My print screen is set up for image to be opened with this program. Today when I clicked print screen it came up captured but it was gone. I tried just opening the program straight on and it just flashed on my screen and then disappeared. I uninstalled it and reinstalled but the problem continues.
And now I can't open any of my pictures because they are all set to open with print shop.
Any idea's what happened?

1st reset your default program to open pictures.

Windows 10 -search "Default Programs", then select Photo by double clicking and select another program

Windows 8: On the Start screen, in the Search field, type default program, and then press enter


Open up pictures if it works, then go back and reset to the program you want

I fixed it. It was in the setting I changed to maximize and now they are coming up.
