BSOD 0x00...F4
Hello, I am new to the site, and I am having a problem with my XP running computer. Every once in a while, I am left with a blue screen, with the error codes: 0x000000F4 (0x00000003, 0x899F7128, 0899f7292, 0x80604418). The code changes everyother time from that to 0x0000007A. I have ran CHKDSK, with no clue. I have read that I have to download memtest, but I fear it might be too advanced for me; I do not know alot about computers. I would post the specs of my computer, but again, I do not know much about it. It is a custom built computer, built by my father. I have not recently installed new hardware.
Help would be apreciated greatly, thanks in advance . |

Can anyone help? I have ran a virus scan, with nothing turning up. When I leave my computer alone, the intervals between the bsod's shorten, maybe that helps?

Your error is most likely caused by some hardware problem.
First two things, you may want to do is to go to your hard drive manufacturer web site, and download free diagnostic program. Also, get free RAM testing program: http://www.memtest86.com/ For download click on Free Download For manual, click on Technical Info |
