Sata 2 hard drive with Sata 1 Mobo
I wasn't sure as to what to do: I am trying to get a sata 2 hard drive so when I upgrade my mobo I can still use it, on my current mobo which has only sata 1. I know that they are compatible, but I didn't know what kind of cable to get. Do I just get a "sata cable" or a "sata 2 cable" or something else? This may be a basic question, but I would appreciate your help. Thanks!

get any sata cable, the cable shouldn't matter, if you want a specific sata 2 cable then go for that, either way it would probably run you like $1 for the cable, they are usually bundled with the motherboard or controller card
