Remove windows 8.1 button

I recently updated to windows 8.1, only because I heard by January that windows is making you download to 8.1 if you want to continue getting windows updates. I was able to make it so it would load straight to my desktop again, but I'd really like to get rid of the new button they've added, that's not really even a start button. I download the pokki start button from when I first got my computer and would really like that to be the only one that shows up. Is there any way right now to hide the windows one? Thanks
