Laptop not going to sleep

For some reason my laptop is not going to sleep. The display will turn off when it's supposed to, but after that it doesn't go to sleep. I have checked the power settings and everything is set at 30 minutes.

Any ideas? This has been going on all week. Thanks

Try removing the battery and leave out for awhile, then put back in and boot up. See if that helps.

This is happening while the laptop is plugged in.

You might consider removing any scheduled task from the machine somtimes this will help these types of issues.

I have no scheduled task other than having disk defrag running once a month and that was set up the day I first turned on the laptop.

I've solved the problem by changing the power settings. Set them to whatever comes to mind. Reboot.

Change them back to what you want and see if that prods Windows back into doing what it's told.

If it doesn't work, all you've lost is some time and mouse clicks.

How can having these logs hurt here Jintan??

The user is asking for an answer to solve problems, not an endless request for logs that solve nothing, and you have no idea how to use. If you want to help, help by making suggestions to solve problems.
