Drivers for a newer Gateway system, please help!

I've got an E1400 model Gateway desktop that I need to find Windows 98SE drivers for.

When I look for chipset drivers, Intel only provides GPU drivers. I have disks from driverpacks.net and 98SE will not scan them for drivers. I have to select each folder individually and it would take hours to check the whole disk that way.

What can I do to get drivers for this machine? Also, NIC driver is not installed so I can't get online on this system.

Does Windows not tell you the specific hardware, making it hard to find the right drivers, like "generic monitor", etc?

See if these freebies can give you the exact hardware makes you need to then find the right drivers, like "Dell W200 monitor":

WinAudit
Belarc Advisor
Speccy (Ccleaner makers)
CPU-Z

Some updates to try:
FileHippo
Secunia PSI
CNET Tech Tracker
