Howdy and welcome to CTH:
Need a little clarification here okay.. First of all, are you booting using the Win98SE cd or did you use a boot floppy to fdisk, partition and then format the hdd first?? Murray |

I booted off of a cd since my win98se cd isnt bootable, i made a cd iso which is the same as a floppy. would use a floppy but i dont have it.
what i did was ran fdisk from the cd, the deleted the partions, rebooted. created a new partion, formated with c: /s and ran setup , which it froze at where it says windows need 73821209 (w/e) mbytes to install. |

Get a boot floppy from www.bootdisk.com (Win98SE or WinME will do).. Download the self-extracting file to your system.. Pop a clean formatted floppy into the a: drive and then double-click the download and extract the files to the floppy..
Now, use that to fdisk, partition and format your hdd.. BTW, say YES to every question you are asked when fdisking or formatting !! Murray |
