imac g3 help

Hi all,
I know this is a long shot but I have recentley been given an imac g3 running mac os9.2.2.
I have managed to get it onto my broadband but have trouble viewing web pages, can anyone recommend an alternative to IE 5.1 as a browser and is it possible to upgrade the os to something like 10.3 as I am led to believe this is more stable.
I know this is a golden oldie but any help will be appreciated and as always many thanks in advance.

A G3 with built in USB ports should easily run OS10.3.9. It will probably run OS 10.4 okay, but not as well as 10.3. I'd load 10.3.9 if it were me.

As for browsers and OS9.2.2... You might try an older version of iCab, like version 2.9.9 here: http://www.icab.de/dl.php To be honest you'll have a hard time finding anything for OS9 that supports modern web sites.
