Question Used iMac--How do I get in?

Hi List,

My friend is moving and was cleaning out her garage and came across her old iMac. She asked me if I wanted it and, having other older cast-off computers, I said YES! The trouble is, she can't remember her administrative password, or her user password. And she can't find her software. Is there any solution to "forgetting your password" if you don't have the system software?

Thanks,

Judy

Not really. You need an OS CD to boot off of and reset the password.
